speech police (Kind of a mini-rant)

oK, so if you're in my speech class
or ally's english class,
you should Know all about the speech police now
anyway,
I was watching the news today
[shocKer]
and there was this story about a woman
who was being fined liKe $25 for every day she had a certain christmas wreath on her house [her own property]
why was she being fined?
because the wreath was shaped liKe a peace sign
you Know, the little circle thing
and they said that
it was to protest the war in Iraq
[first of all, aren't we given the right to peaceful protest in the first amendment?? i'm pretty sure we are]
then they said that it might also be a satanic symbol
HELLOOO??!!!
A PEACE SIGN! A SATANIC SYMBOL?
WHAT THE HELL????????
people are going wayyy to far on this one
